EXPAND Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Workshop

On 28 January 2015, CED Policy Officer Aleksandra Sanak participated in a Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Workshop organized by EXPAND Thematic Network. EXPAND – Expanding Health Data Interoperability Services – is a Thematic Network (TN) project funded by the European Commission Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) within the ICT Policy Support Programme.

The overall project goal of EXPAND is to progress towards an environment of sustainable cross border eHealth services established at EU level by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and at national level through the deployment of suitable national infrastructures and services. The workshop gave an opportunity to discuss Registries, European Reference Networks, the impact and implications of adopting healthcare services in cross-border context (e.g. ePrescription), especially in terms of legal, organizational, technical and semantic requirements.
