On 26 June 2012 the Council of European Dentists (CED) organised a debate on oral and general health in the European Parliament in Brussels. CED President Dr. Wolfgang Doneus and chair of CED Working Group Oral Health Dr. Paula Vassallo lead the discussion. Frauke Müller, professor and chair for gerodontology at the University of Geneva and Secretary of the European College of Gerodontology was the keynote speaker. Other speakers included representatives of European associations of doctors, pharmacists, nurses and midwifes, as well as a representative of patients.
